Event description

Join us for an unforgettable 4 part photography journey with award-winning photographer Cristy Froehlich! Experience and capture the stunning landscapes and vibrant charm of Kangaroo Valley through the lens. This workshop is perfect for those eager to explore both the natural and man-made beauty of this iconic region while creating a unique piece of art for exhibition in the Kangaroo Valley Show!

What’s Included:
📸 Part 1: Tutorial and Nature Walk (9 am to 12 noon Saturday, 25th January - 3 Hours) – Join Cristy as she teaches you the essence of nature photography before heading off on one of Kangaroo Valley’s beautiful walking tracks. While out, Cristy will help you capture the serene essence of nature through your lens, give tips and tricks and help you capture the image you have in your mind's eye!

🌙 Part 2: Night Walk (7-8 pm Saturday, 25th January - 1 Hour) – Stroll through the main street under the night sky, focusing on lights, structures, and the man-made character of Kangaroo Valley at dusk and after dark. Using simple photography techniques, Cristy will help you create striking images that can include slow-exposure light trails, starbursts and more.  (Participants do not need to do both).

💬 Online Chat Session (Zoom - 6-7 pm Friday, 31st January - 1 Hour) – Chat with Cristy and choose your final image for framing and display! Craft an artist's blurb to accompany your artwork with guidance and support.

🖼️ Framing Day – (Wednesday, 12th February 5-7 pm) Watch your image come to life with professional printing, and frame your own art piece by hand, ready to take centre stage in a final Exhibition.
