Creative Writing for Beginners
Description
Have you always wanted to write but not known where to start? In this four session (fortnightly, over eight weeks) course you will be supported to lose your fear of the white page, to learn about beginnings and endings (and all the bits in between) and learn how to build a piece of writing. The course is warm, non-judgmental and gently paced.
Each session runs for 90 minutes.

Anne Carson
Dr Anne M Carson is an Australian poet and essayist living on unceded Bunurong Country on the Bay. She has taught in the community sector as a creative writing teacher and creative writing therapist for over a decade. Her poetry has been awarded, most recently in the Ada Cambridge Poetry Prize (2026). Her fifth poetry collection, George Sand (and Me): a poetic biography is recently published, and in 2027, Liquid Amber Press will publish her collection Originary. Her PhD received an Outstanding Dissertation Prize (AERA 2024).
