Event description

Join us to hear from legal experts in this panel session designed to demystify court procedures and strengthen your ability to support clients navigating both criminal and civil legal systems. The session addresses key questions about client rights, legal processes, and support worker responsibilities across multiple legal domains including criminal, civil, family law, and care and protection matters.

Panelists from Wirringa Baiya Aboriginal Women’s Legal Centre, the Aboriginal Legal Service, and Women's Legal Service NSW will offer practical guidance on navigating the legal system, making referrals, and meeting documentation requirements. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions based on real-life scenarios from their work, helping them provide more informed support to clients while maintaining professional boundaries.

We encourage participants to submit their questions ahead of time to ensure our panel members can bring practical and relevant examples to the session, please submit your questions here: Questions for Legal Panel

As with all our events, this session will be held online over lunch time. Our presenters know that you're busy professionals and won't be offended if you eat your lunch while they present.

See you online!
