Modern Antisemitism in NZ
Martyn's Talk:
Drawing from CSG's reports on nationwide antisemitism since October 7, 2023, Martyn will cover the various types and sources of antisemitism in New Zealand, as well as its evolving intensity and manifestations. He will also discuss how CSG reporting and analysis informs the national CSG threat level and provides critical insights to the Government and relevant agencies regarding the experiences of the Jewish community.
Juliet's Talk:
An overview of the Jewish Council in Aotearoa New Zealand—its actions in response to rising antisemitism, its current agenda, and its ongoing work with Jewish communities nationwide. How can HCNZ, CSG, and the Jewish Council collaborate to address and combat antisemitism in Aotearoa?
Martyn Levy Bio:
Martyn Levy (BA, LL.B, CMInstD) is a security industry leader and professional non-executive director. Martyn co-owns and leads Nextro, a telecommunications and security managed services provider and security integrator in New Zealand. Nextro focuses on connecting and securing the staff, data, and assets for New Zealand's leading brands across critical infrastructure, transportation, logistics, hospitality, health, retail, and crowded places sectors.
Martyn has been a director of Instant Finance for 9 years, is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, and is a licensed Security Consultant. Martyn was previously a Director of Devoli for five years, Head of Strategy & Business Development for 2degrees, and CEO of RoamAD, a WiFi solutions vendor. Martyn has also worked in the venture capital industry, run a strategic advisory business, and worked as a banking lawyer in Moscow and Auckland.
Juliet Moses Bio:
Juliet Moses is a Partner at TGT Legal, a leading trust and private client law firm specialising in trust and estate law. With extensive expertise in this field, Juliet provides expert guidance to high-net-worth individuals and families, helping them navigate complex legal matters. Her focus areas include trust formation and administration, estate planning, wealth management, and succession planning.
In addition to her legal practice, Juliet serves as a spokesperson for the Jewish Council of New Zealand, where she contributes to community leadership and advocacy.
