L'Dor V'Dor 2025 - “THE SONG REMAINS”: YIDDISH POETRY FROM THE HOLOCAUST
Event description
If you have already secured a ticket for the series, your registration will automatically carry over to each event, and you don't need to take further action.
Join us for a discussion with Dave Moskovitz about the remarkable translation work of his mother, Dr. Sarah Traister Moskovitz.
A professor of educational psychology and devoted Yiddishist, Sarah curated the acclaimed anthology "Poetry in Hell" and, in her final years, translated "The Song Remains" – a collection of over 150 Yiddish poems by authors murdered by the Nazis.
Dave will share insights into these powerful anthologies, preserved through his website poetryinhell.org and thesongremains.org, ensuring his mother's legacy endures beyond her passing in September 2024, with the collection's completion slated for 2027.
