L1 Volunteers Safe Church Awareness Workshop Online
Event description
CCVT is pleased to offer online training for volunteers. Be trained online and equipped to ensure your church or agency is a Safe Place for everyone. CCVT recommends that all volunteers, including those volunteering in music, worship, ministry, hosting, services, hospitality, administration, community, parking and security teams, attend a Safe Church Awareness Workshop as a pre-requisite to volunteering in the local church.
👤Presented by Viliamu Leuga & Lucy Bentley
The Safe Church Program was founded on a commitment to protecting the safety of all people within its programs, ministries and events, and supporting churches and agencies to adhere to best practice and safety legislation.
Topics include:
Foundations and Principles of a Safe Church
Protecting Vulnerable People
Definitions and Indicators of Abuse
Reporting and Response Procedures
Safe Church Awareness Workshops are facilitated by trained presenters, and attendance is recognised by CCVT for all volunteers.
Please note: This workshop involves discussion and definitions of different types of abuse. The topic of abuse is a confronting issue. CCVT advises that whilst Safe Church Awareness Workshops strive to present information in a respectful and sensitive manner, some components may be disturbing. If concerned, please discuss the situation with your pastor or contact the event organiser before attending.
Level 1 Volunteers SCAW and Level 2 Leaders SCAW are required workshops for all looking to progress towards CCVT Pastoral Accreditation.
This workshop is not suitable for persons under 15 years of age.
