La Trobe Cyber Clinic for NFPs and SMEs

Join us at La Trobe University’s Cyber Clinic Day, a free, practical and interactive event designed to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and not-for-profit organisations (NFPs) better understand their cyber risks and strengthen their cyber security.

With scams, phishing, impersonation and AI-enabled cyber threats continuing to evolve, the Cyber Clinic brings together SMEs, NFPs, cybersecurity students, academics and industry professionals to share knowledge and provide practical support.

12:00 pm–1:00 pm | Networking Lunch

Connect with SMEs, NFPs, industry professionals, La Trobe staff and students over lunch.

1:00 pm–2:00 pm | Cyber Threat Panel

Hear from industry and cyber experts about current and emerging threats affecting SMEs (also Startups) and NFPs, including scams, phishing, business email compromise, data and privacy risks, AI-enabled threats, impersonation and deepfakes.

2:00 pm–3:00 pm | Cyber Clinic & Drop-in Support

Bring your questions and explore areas relevant to your organisation, including:

• Cyber Health Check

• Cyber governance and risk

• Incident response and preparedness

• Cyber awareness and culture uplift

• Tabletop exercises

• Cyber vulnerability review

• Practical tools and resources

Cybersecurity students will work alongside academics and industry mentors to provide general guidance and practical support.

No specialist cyber knowledge is required. The focus is on helping organisations understand their cyber risks and identify practical and achievable next steps.

There may also be opportunities to explore future collaboration with La Trobe University, including potential student projects, Industry-Based Learning (IBL), capstone projects and other industry engagement opportunities, subject to availability and suitability.
