Join us for Laadliyan's Soirée, an evening of celebration, connection, and impact. Together, we'll honour remarkable daughters, share inspiring stories, enjoy incredible food and entertainment, and celebrate the strength, joy, and resilience of South Asian daughters.
Whether you're planning a girls' night out, bringing your family, celebrating with friends, or joining us solo, you'll find a seat at our table. This evening is for everyone who believes daughters deserve to be celebrated, empowered, and invested in.
Your seat at the table helps build a bigger one for the next generation, every ticket helps create opportunities for the next generation. All proceeds from the evening are reinvested directly into Laadliyan's programs, supporting daughters through mentorship, professional development, community events, and spaces where they can truly belong.

Laadliyan in Leadership Award Winners
Rhythm Bhullar
Rhythm Bhullar is someone who values discipline and integrity. He believes in giving his full dedication to everything he does and measuring success by the positive impact he can make on others. Army Cadets has played a major role in shaping who Rhythm is today. Through his experiences in Cadets, he has developed his leadership, resilience, focus, and ability to make informed decisions under pressure. The challenges he has faced have taught him the importance of perseverance, precision, and always pushing himself to grow. Rhythm’s relationship with Sikhi has also shaped his values, especially through the principle of seva, or selfless service. It has taught him that helping others is a responsibility and has instilled in him a sense of compassion and courage. These values have inspired Rhythm’s goal of pursuing a career in medicine, where he hopes to combine his passion for learning with his commitment to serving others. He is grateful to receive this award and hopes to continue carrying these principles throughout his future.
Bairavi Kalatharan
Bairavi Kalatharan is a professional Bharatanatyam dancer, training since the age of 3 under the guidance of Smt. Siva Thiviyarajan, whom advocates for representation across various platforms. As the founder of "The BLESS Foundation," championing the ABC Mission (Anti-racism, Bullying Prevention, and Cultural Equity), she utilized many cultural arts such as Bharatanatyam and Henna to fundraise for various initiatives, assisting to raise over six figure of donations across various organizations that directly assisted underprivileged and underrepresented individuals within marginalized countries. Her global impact has earned her the opportunity to become the youngest keynote speaker at the 2024 International Youth for Human Rights Conference, in which she collaborated with the York Regional Police to petition for mandatory human rights education across Canada. Asides from her advocacy, Bairavi won the OSSTF Student Achievement Award as a Provincial Winner as one of nine from over 2500 participants, in which she created a diary-written poetic essay piece titled "L'Unité est la Divinité," which talks about her personal experiences of skin colour stereotypes as a South Asian woman, inspiring over 1.5 million students across Ontario. Her achievements can be further emphasized as becoming the youngest and first-ever Canadian to win the 2025 International Ambassador of Diwali Election (A prestigious global French Bharatanatyam competition) in Guadeloupe, followed by being crowned Miss Teen Brampton 2026 as the first Tamil-Canadian to receive this title. Being a South Asian woman of colour, Bairavi has represented many designer brands as an ethnic model and advocated within the media and fashion industry, directly supporting Sick Kids Units and Ovarian Cancer Research through participating in various fashion initiatives that supports noble causes.
Nirmala Ramprasad
Nirmala Ramprasad is a community leader, educator, and the President of Green Dupatta Charitable Organization, a grassroots nonprofit focused on creating opportunities and building stronger communities in Guyana, Canada, and India. Through Green Dupatta CO, Nirmala has developed and led initiatives in education, youth development, community empowerment, and access to resources. As an educator and mentor, she is equally passionate about creating space for young women to discover their own leadership potential. She has mentored young women not only by encouraging them to lead, but by giving them the opportunity, guidance, and confidence to become leaders themselves. Nirmala’s work is rooted in the belief that meaningful leadership is not simply about what we accomplish—it is about who we empower to come after us.
Nazia Peer
Nazia Peer is a Muslim, a mother, an immigrant, and a racialized woman. She lived through apartheid and South Africa’s transition to democracy, where she experienced freedom from oppression in her lifetime. This transition has cultivated a deeply personal understanding of intersectionality, equity, justice, and inclusion to her life and leadership. Nazia is passionate about helping women and girls recognize their potential, navigate barriers, and see themselves represented in positions of influence. Through the University of Toronto and Mastercard Foundation, Nazia mentors African women leaders in global public health. Across Peel Region and the Greater Toronto Area, she actively supports racialized women navigating their career paths, international medical graduates, and aspiring medical and public health professionals seeking mentorship. She believes mentorship creates opportunities not only for individual women and girls, but also for the families, communities, and future generations they inspire. Her leadership is grounded in the Islamic values of compassion, justice, service, and collective responsibility, as well as the Southern African philosophy of Ubuntu: “I am because we are.” Together, these principles reinforce Nazia’s belief in our shared humanity and responsibility toward one another. Nazia is a South African-trained public health physician and the Director of Immunization Services at the Region of Peel. She is also an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health and serves on the Board of the Ansaar Foundation. She previously served on Unity Health Toronto’s Council on Anti-Racism, Equity and Social Accountability (CARESA) and the Region of Peel’s Culture and Inclusion Advisory Committee.
Soirée Talent
AP Spinna (DJ)
Bringing sound, energy, and a distinct musical perspective to every room, AP SPINNA is a Toronto-based DJ known for creating sets that keep the energy moving and the crowd connected. With appearances across Toronto’s vibrant event and nightlife scene, AP SPINNA brings an intuitive approach to reading the room and curating a soundtrack that makes every moment feel like part of the experience.
Aakhya Singh
Aakhya is Toronto-based singer, composer and founder of Kalakaar Collective, with over 400 live performances across Canada. A classically trained vocalist, she seamlessly fuses Indian classical music with contemporary sounds and is well-versed in semi-classical, folk, Bollywood, Qawwali and Sufi music. She has released several original works exploring her distinctive musical voice and has also served as a Peer Assessor with the Ontario Arts Council.
Saksham Singh
Saksham is a multi-instrumentalist, musician and co-founder of Kalakaar Collective, with extensive live performance experience across Canada. Proficient in piano, guitar and multiple instruments, he brings a versatile approach to contemporary and South Asian music. Alongside his work as a performing musician, Saksham is also part of SOCAN, contributing to Canada’s broader music ecosystem.
Krutarth Shitut
Krutarth is a versatile tabla player and percussionist with extensive performance experience across Canada and the U.S. Equally skilled as a soloist and collaborative musician, he has performed tabla solo showcases as well as alongside diverse ensembles, bringing a dynamic and contemporary approach to Indian percussion.
