Event description

The Embassy of Ecuador, as part of the 29th Latin American Film Festival, has the honour to host the screening of the Ecuadorian firm "CHUZALONGO".

Inmerse yourself in this amazing magical realism story from the Andes of Ecuador and discover incredible landscapes from this region.

Follow a mythological Andean creature which is said to take the form of a child and then turns into a monster that feeds on the blood of young women. At the end of the 19th century , a boy appears in an Andean village. Nicanor, the village priest, discovers that the child´s blood causes crops to bear fruit magically, but for the boy to live, he must be fed by human blood.

The event will take place:

  • Kambri Cultural Centre

  • Tuesday 26 August

  • 7.30 pm

Doors will open at 7.00 pm. Refreshments will be provided, and the film screening will begin at 7.30 pm.
