    Event description

Join in a screening of Rachel's Farm and Stockyard Creek 20 Years On....providing perspectives on how to regenerate land, soil and creeks.

In Rachel's Farm, film director and actress Rachel Ward voyages from wilful ignorance about the ecological impacts of conventional agriculture on her own rural property in the mid-north coast to embrace a movement to restore the health of Australia's farmland, food and climate. Addressing challenges and exploring opportunities, the film explores how changing farming practices can restore our soil, land, wildlife habitats and sense of self.

The Stockyard Creek 20 Years On short video celebrates successful waterway rehabilitation on the property of Brian Woodward and Sally Middleton using artificially constructed log structures and revegetation to recreate the natural ecosystem. Highlighting the ecosystem benefits of retaining large woody debris in waterways, this video shows what is possible, creating habitat, carbon storage and improved flood mitigation.

The screenings include refreshments and be followed by a panel discussion with local community members.
