FAQs

  • What do I need to bring?

Nothing but yourself and what's on your mind.

  • What language is this workshop delivered in?

The workshop is delivered in English.

We don't use heavily technical words or phrases.

If English is not your first language please do reach out to us and we can find out together how great the workshop will be for you.

  • What if what I am Making is still tbc?

You're in good company! We welcome new ideas, draft creations and vague thoughts (that are very much a work-in-progress), as well as concrete theatre writing, performance and production problems that you want to solve.

  • What if I am a beginner?

If you have a creative problem you want to solve, there's no restriction. Bring what's on your mind and we'll get into it, with a proven, professional method that you can use and re-use as often as you need.

  • What if I am over qualified?

This is a good problem to have! If you are familiar with Creative Problem Solving and other problem solving methods, are you wondering ''will this still be a good use of my time and ideas?''. Yes indeed. You will have access to experienced facilitators and can use this as an opportunity to step into a real problem and refine your superpowers.

  • Why is this for adults 18+?

    Three main reasons:

Our venue is a pub and you're welcome to buy your own refreshments / drinks from the bar. This is optional and supports the independent nature of the pub.

This problem solving method is designed for adults and needs to be adapted for younger people.

We welcome all language including swearing and expressions of all emotions from joy and frustration.

  • What will I be doing?

In the workshop you’ll get to apply Creative Problem Solving (CPS) to a real problem that you want to unpick.

CPS can take minutes when you know how. It’s inspiration-on-tap!

In this workshop (+60mins) you will get to grips with CPS so that CPS becomes your secret weapon and part of your creative toolkit!

We first get clarity on your goal, this is about your vision. CPS gets to understanding the details so you have more data (for potential solutions)

Secondly we use your unique point of view and creativity to explore ideas. We’re looking for answers now because the question is clear.

Next we develop, develop and develop to move from ideas to actual solutions. You’ll get to use tools to strengthen your thinking so you have even more options to choose from.

Only then do we shape a plan, including the people, places, things and actions that definitely support the direction you’re going in.
