Land, Biodiversity & the Colony
Event description
Join us for deep listening and tender discussions with Rasha Tayeh from Beit e’Shai Teahouse @beiteshai
Rasha will share audio recording excerpts from ‘Land, Biodiversity & the Colony’ an event she hosted last year in conversation with Palestinian scientist Prof. Mazin Qumsiyeh & Zena Cumpston, Barkandji writer, artist & researcher – discussing the impacts of colonisation on nature and plant kin.
We will then discuss themes further as a group and explore new imaginaries for reparative futures.
Rasha Tayeh is an artist, researcher, herbalist, nutritionist, and founder of Beit e’Shai Teahouse. Her practice is land-based, focusing on telling stories about people’s relationships in community & ecology.
