    Event description

    LAND’S AIR (live)
    BANGS BABY (dj)

Hosted by Outcome Unknown & Tone List

Land’s Air is the experimental improvisation duo of Eduardo Cossio & Josten Myburgh. We have been invited by Ting Shuo Hear Say 聽說 to undertake a two-week residency in Tainan 臺南 and make our second record in December. During this time we’ll also be traveling through Kaohsiung, Taichung, Hsinchu and Taipei to play concerts and connect with the scene.

Join us at Astral Weeks for a little celebration and to chip in to help make the trip possible. We’ll be selling our first CD, a limited-run T-shirt printed by Pinch Point Press, and other merch. Drinks for sale by the wonderful staff at Astral Weeks.

We’ll play two sets, you’ll feel like you’re in Berlin. Bangs Baby on the decks providing silly party energy throughout!

This is also Josten’s last gig in Perth until 2025, as they will be departing the following night (!) to work on music in Germany, Poland, Czechia, Ireland and the UK for two months.

Tickets: $25 (waged) / $15 (unwaged) / $50+ (supporter). Bookings recommended as capacity is small. Opt-in free entry option on the ticket portal for the First Nations and Palestinian communities and companion card holders.

We acknowledge Whadjuk Noongar boodja and its custodians and elders from all times, and acknowledge and respect the resilience of Noongar peoples’ under colonial occupation.

This event, the tour & residency are supported through the Western Australian government through the Arts SNAP program of the Department of Local Government, Sports and Cultural Industries.

    Accessibility:
Astral Weeks is wheelchair accessible at street level, and has a gender-neutral accessible bathroom. It is a small, acoustically treated space. It's a small bar which serves alcohol. It is likely to feel crowded on the night (about 55 people can fit in the room at capacity). The music will be very loud or quiet at times. The room is indoors and airconditioned and windows are kept closed, meaning ventilation is limited. Lighting will be low and warm. There will not be a dedicated check-out or quiet space in the venue.

Our music sometimes foregrounds a psychoacoustic phenomena called combination tones. These are harmless and you hear them every day, but occasionally people have strong responses of discomfort to them when they emphasised in music (feel free to look them up beforehand or ask us about them).
