Event description
Landcare Build Skills - Preparing a compelling environment submission
Tuesday 27 February 2024 1.00-2.30 pm online on Zoom
Landcarers are a passionate lot and importantly love to have their voices heard on issues affecting the environment. Writing an environmental submission on that burning issue, is sometimes a daunting task.
If you or your landcare group are keen to feel empowered and to maximise the impact of your environmental submissions join us for our first ‘Landcare Build Skills’ session for 2024.
Our presenters Dr Lincoln Hood from Tangaroa Blue, and Liam Lily and Kelly Duckworth from Conservation Council of WA will provide valuable guidance on how to construct compelling and impactful submissions.Â
The session will include:
- how to use language and pathways to ensure your voice is heard in a way that is engaging, noticeable, and meaningful;
- tips on information gathering and the power of data to support your submissions; and
- case studies of impactful submissions; and
- other hints and tips to help construct powerful, credible writing.
