The Landscape Research Group & Bartlett School of Architecture's MA/MLA Landscape Architecture Programme invite you to Landscape Futures in the Twenty-First Century: Landscape Leaders in Intergenerational Dialogue.
Join us on Thursday, 5th December 2024, at 17:00 GMT for this hybrid event, held online and at 77 Wicklow Street, London. Our distinguished panel, shown below, will explore the impacts of global crises on landscapes and the ways we can reimagine landscape stewardship for a sustainable future.
This dialogue will cover themes from food security and cultural heritage to landscape responses to climate change, energy shifts, and economic pressures. Moderated by LRG's newly appointed Chair, Professor Theano S. Terkenli, this event promises a dynamic exchange on the theoretical and practical future of landscapes.

Ticket Types and Cost
There are two types of tickets, in-person and remote. Both are fully funded but places are limited.

- Remote attendance - FREE - join via Zoom.

It’s ideal for students, scholars, and professionals in landscape architecture, environmental science, urban planning, anthropology, geography, law and related fields, as well as policymakers and anyone interested in the future of landscapes and sustainable development.
Event Format
This hybrid panel discussion will begin with each speaker responding to three key questions prepared by moderator Theano S. Terkenli. Each panellist will have up to 10 minutes to share their insights on how global crises affect landscapes, before transitioning into an open dialogue among the speakers. This discussion will actively involve both the in-person and online audience, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas. The event will conclude with a Q&A, inviting further audience engagement.
Accessibility
For accessibility at 77 Wicklow Street, UCL's Bartlett School of Architecture has designed the space to encourage ease of access, with essential facilities on the ground floor, including the seminar rooms, which are accessible from the main entrance. For those attending virtually, the online Zoom option provides an alternative for remote participation
