Landscape Artists En Plein Air

Bring your favourite art materials, and join us for a day of landscape painting and drawing outdoors in the beautiful surroundings of Pah Homestead and Monte Cecilia Park.

Work alongside fellow artists, share the challenge of working outdoors and find fresh inspiration, ideas and techniques under the guidance of practicing landscape artists Dick Frizzell and Neal Palmer, both with differing approaches to landscape painting.

All abilities and media welcome.

What to expect on the day

Sign in at the Pah Homestead sculpture garden from 9.30am.

Explore the landscape

Pick up your ‘Artists’ Map’ of designated locations in the sculpture garden and Monte Cecilia Park, each offering a different perspective on the surrounding landscape.

Discover new ideas

Visit our resources and ideas table for inspiration, fresh art-making strategies and suggestions to help you experiment with your practice or take your work in an unexpected direction.

Get guidance and feedback

We’ve engaged practising landscape artists Dick Frizzell and Neal Palmer who will be on hand to share their knowledge, offer guidance and talk personally with you about your work.

Share and celebrate your work

At 2pm, we’ll come together in the Pah Homestead sculpture garden to share our work and enjoy an informal celebration of the day. There’ll be time to take a look at what others have created, exchange ideas, enjoy live music and perhaps treat yourself to something from the café.
