Sat, 9 Aug, 4pm - 10 Aug, 8pm PDT

Event description

Using Sun Peaks and the surrounding area as our canvas, this landscape workshop will focus on improving your photographic eye, expand your angle and photo toolkit as well as freshen up your approach to making great landscape photos.

August 9th: 4 pm -7 pm to catch the last lift down

August 10th: 6 pm -8 pm for editing

This 2-session workshop will include 1 ‘shooting’ session and 1 ‘editing’ session. The outdoor portion will take place over a late afternoon/evening in order to expose us to a variety of lighting conditions that will encourage us to flex our range as photographers.

We’ll take our shots from the first session and spend the time learning how to best edit for our own creative vision. The workshop will give you a clear tutorial on editing, however, discussion and participation are encouraged throughout all of the sessions.

In the workshop we will cover:
- Learning your settings for the best exposure for your landscape photos
- Framing that takes your photos from good to GREAT!
- Aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings that compliment one another
- To Tripod or not?!
- What makes a great landscape photo and HOW do we create those?
- Sharpness in the whole frame vs. A separating depth of field for effect
- Tasteful edits that realize your creative vision

YOU WILL NEED: camera, telephoto or range of focal length lenses, tripod (optional), backpack, suitable hiking footwear, snacks & water, lift pass.
