Safety and Software Laser Cutting Inductions

This session will introduce you to the xTool P2 (55-Watt CO2 Laser Cutter) and the Emblaser 2 (10-Watt Laser Cutter) at the Parks Makerspace, we will go through the safety aspects of laser cutting for each machine as well as the relevant software for each machine and project creations.

Age: Adult 16+, and 9 - 16 years with parent or carer
Bookings: Bookings essential – spaces are limited
Skill Level: Moderate Computer Skills 

Please Note: The Parks Makerspace can be used by ages 9 and upwards, all children between 9 - 16 must attend with a supervising adult. Access to the Parks Library Makerspace outside of public drop-in times (Sunday afternoon 1pm - 4pm) or staff-supported sessions requires a Makerspace Community Access Induction which can be booked through a Makers Advisory or on an ad hoc basis Sunday afternoons during public opening time.
