Last Night of the Proms
Description
The Last Night of the Proms is a classical music feast, celebrating the traditional promenade concerts made famous by the BBC in London. You’ll hear all the favourites, including selections of work from Gilbert and Sullivan, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Elgar, and Rossini.
Join our flagship group the Fernleigh Young Musicians Orchestra, with our junior and intermediate string ensembles for a night that is not to be missed. The program features 3 incredible soloists: contralto Sylvia Clarke and baritone Aidan Hodder performing a selection from popular Gilbert and Sullivan operattas, and clarinettist Geran Dunlop performing Rossini’s dazzling Introduction, Theme and Variations.
Performing one night only on Saturday 28 November, 7:30pm, at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music. Don't miss out!
