Description

Your goals matter. You matter.

Have you been feeling like it’s time to bring your own aspirations back into focus? When life is full of competing demands, it’s easy to lose sight of what you want — especially when you’re supporting others every day.

Launch: Starting out in a new location? Let's get you set up to launch into your new life!

Moving as a Defence partner can feel like starting over. A new place, new routines, and often your own goals get pushed to the side.

Adapt: Time to get in momentum or change direction?

Is it time to go after your goals? Are you wondering where to start or which organisations are out there to support you?

Just because you're the spouse of a current- or former-serving Australian Defence Force member doesn’t mean your goals should take a back seat.

This session is designed to give you clarity, direction and practical steps so you can get set up and move forward sooner. With over 50 years of combined Defence life experience, our team 'gets it' and wants to help.

You'll walk away with

  • Who to know to get set up in a new location for work

  • Where you can go for a boost to your wellbeing and to make friends

  • Our recommended roadmap to help you get into momentum (trust us, you'll want to refer back to this two-pager and share with your friends)

  • A clear sense of what matters to you right now.

  • A practical worksheet you can return to anytime.

You’re not alone

Connect with other Defence and veteran partners who truly get it. This is a relaxed online session where you can:

  • Meet others in a similar stage of life.

  • Ask questions.

  • Hear real experiences.

  • Feel supported, understood and encouraged.

  • Learn more about the Cowork Coplay programs and Careers and Conversations events in your area and our exciting online activities coming soon.

Claire Harris

Claire is co-founder of Human Quotient Group, an Australian social enterprise and veteran community business. She leads strategy and programs, including the Cowork Coplay programs for spouses of current- and former-serving Defence members. Claire is a social entrepreneur, innovator and changemaker with a background in science, technology, marketing and communication. She has owned her own businesses for almost a decade, while also moving around the country as the partner of a serving member of Defence.

Pamela Turner

Pamela is the Program Facilitator of the Adelaide Cowork Coplay program, which will begin in May. As a trained counsellor, Pamela loves to meet people where they are at to help them see their situations and mindsets from different perspectives, which may improve their wellbeing. Passionate about her family: a Defence husband, two amazingly awesome Irish dancing crazy daughters, and two very cute birds and poodle, Pamela also loves to read, travel and bake to wind down and recharge. Her favourite Defence activity to participate in as a family is the Welcome to Adelaide event. She also relishes going on a scavenger hunt to find the treasures the different organisations provide…. [stressball anyone????]

Simone Flynn

Simone is the Program Facilitator of the Darwin Cowork Coplay program. With a background in events and finance, I work best in group environments where people and purpose come together. My passion lies in working with others—collaborating, problem-solving, and making real change happen. I’m excited to put that energy into supporting defence spouses through the unique challenges of military life. Whether it’s planning events, developing programs, or offering a listening ear, I’m here to help others feel seen, supported, and empowered on this journey we all share.

Amy Inglis

Amy is the Program Facilitator of the Katherine Cowork Coplay program. With a background in tourism, hospitality, and coaching, she loves helping people grow and creating meaningful change in their lives. Amy is especially passionate about supporting spouses to feel seen, supported, and empowered while navigating the unique challenges of the Defence lifestyle.

Martina Wilkinson

Martina is a Cowork Coplay program alumnus and Marketing Specialist with BBA in International Business and Logistics. Passionate about creative thinking, creating captivating content and highlighting amazing stories people can relate to. There are so many stories in the world that deserve to be told and noticed, so many great achievements that people need to hear about. Promoting awareness and capturing attention through content, events and out-of-the-box marketing strategies are what I strive for. As a Defence partner, and a mother to a little one, supporting the Defence/veteran community is especially close to my heart.
