Event description

Dear partners,

We are pleased to invite you to the launch of the Western Public Health Unit (WPHU) Action Guide for Local and Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Planning (Action Guide).

The Action Guide will support your organisations to take collective action by aligning Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plans (2025-2029) and other equivalent Health Plans within the three Western Public Health Unit (WPHU) priority areas of “Reducing vaping and tobacco-related harm”, “Healthier eating and food systems”, and “Climate and its impact on health”. These are linked to the Victorian public health and wellbeing plan 2023 - 2027.

This approach allows us to work together at scale, using a systems approach to tackle priority areas through common actions, using shared tools and consistent evaluations.

In this session you will:

  • Hear from Professor Anna Peeters, CEO of VicHealth on the value of collective action and measuring impact

  • Be introduced to evidence-based actions and how WPHU will support you in them, including through shared evaluation

  • Have the opportunity to ask questions

We look forward to our continued partnership to support the improved health and wellbeing of our communities.

If you have any enquiries, please email WPHU@wh.org.au or call 1800 497 111 between 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.
