Event description

Join us for the final Launches @ the Library event of the year to celebrate two remarkable new works of history from La Trobe authors: Enlightened Aboriginal Futures by Katherine Elllinghaus (LTU) and Barry Judd (UM) and Ṉäku Dhäruk The Bark Petitions by Clare Wright.

Both of these books explore issues of settler-colonialism, missionary history, race and religion, cultural and political history, sovereignty, consultation and cross-cultural interaction. Kat, Barry and Clare will be in conversation with Professor Julie Andrews, Academic Director, Indigenous Research.

School Locker will be onsite with both titles for purchase as well as Sandhill Girl by Lorna Wilson, sister-publication to Enlightened Aboriginal Futures (available for cash sales only)

Light refreshments will also be provided.

Come meet the authors and chat with colleagues over a lunchtime cuppa.

This event is supported by the Office of the Vice Chancellor and School Locker.
