Law, Social Justice and Technology
Event description
As technology continues to pervade all aspects of life, its legal implications continue to grow. Technology also brings new opportunities and problems for social justice issues such as access to justice, privacy and consumer law. Listen to our experts in technology law from the Faculty of Law explain their research and its social justice implications.
Students are encouraged to attend the Zoom event and ask questions of our faculty experts. Be inspired by their work and discover more about areas of technology law including the internet of things, digital platforms and artificial intelligence.
With speakers including Professor Natalie Stoianoff, Professor Derek Wilding, Professor David Lindsay, Professor Andrew Mowbray, Dr Sacha Molitorisz, Dr Kris Wilson, Dr Evana Wright, Dr Karen Lee, Dr Genevieve Wilkinson, Linda Przhedetsky, Margherita Feleppa, Philip Chung and Dr. George Tian you will hear snapshots of technology research and its important implications for social justice. You will then have the opportunity to meet these academics at the in-person Tech + Social Justice Week networking event on Thursday 14 September.
This event is part of the UTS Faculty of Law’s Tech + Social Justice Week. To engage in more events and opportunities within the areas of Legal Tech and Social Justice visit:
