Indigenous Cultural Governance
Indigenous cultural governance allows cultural considerations to be placed at the centre of an organisation’s governance and structure, weaving into operational processes, work culture, and engagement with stakeholders. Strong Indigenous cultural governance leads to sustainable futures for organisations and businesses, and positive outcomes for First Nations peoples.
What is Indigenous cultural governance? Why is an understanding of Indigenous cultural governance important for Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses? How can you implement Indigenous cultural governance across your organisation? In this Law Way® session, Solicitor Neane Carter, a proud Aboriginal woman with multi-clan connections across Victoria, will share her knowledge and lived experience in implementing Indigenous cultural governance. She will guide you through these important questions using Terri Janke and Company’s Guarding Governance® framework.
Who Should Attend
- Executives, Board, and committee members.
- People working in Aboriginal Corporations and Government Agencies.
- Organisations and businesses working with Indigenous communities.
- Joint-venture Project Managers.
