Layback Longboarders 2025 WINTER CLASSIC - comp entry & shirt order
WHEN & WHERE:
Saturday 5th July 2025, Bellambi rock pool car park. 6:00am - Set up, Registration at 6.30am. First
heat in the water by 6.45am.
Weather back up date Saturday 12th July 2025 (keep this date available)
DIVISIONS:
Surfers can select up to a maximum of two divisions.
Divisions include; Opens, 40+, 60+, Old Mals, Women's, and Twin Fin. Numbers are limited in each division and spots can fill quickly.
EVERY COMPETITOR will be entered in a draw for a new Carabine Longboard but you have to compete on the day to be in the draw!!!
ENTRY & COSTS:
Each division costs $25, surfers can select up to a maximum of two divisions $50.
T-shirts are $30 each, and more than one can be ordered. You can also order a T-Shirt and not be entered in a division!
T-shirt orders need to be pre-ordered online before June 14th so shirt sizes can be ordered and to
allow time for printing.
If entering more than one surfer please do a separate/ unique online entry and payment for each surfer.
JUDGING:
Competitor judging is required - you must judge 2 heats before you surf. No Judging = No
Surfing! There will be a professional judge to assist in the judge's tent all day.
Scoring criteria - Surfers perform controlled maneuvers in the critical section of the wave, utilising the entire board for traditional longboard surfing / twin fin surfing. The surfer who performs this to the highest degree of difficulty with the most
style, flow and grace will receive the highest score. Judges should consider
nose-riding (for longboard divisions), on rail surfing, variety, commitment, control and footwork.
