Layered Gel Prints

Learn to create exciting layered prints using gel printing plates! Led by artist Sarah Cowie you’ll gather found materials such as leaves, paper scraps and fabrics to create interesting textures using colourful layers of acrylic paint. 
 
Begin by learning and experimenting with different techniques using the gel printing plate, then combine these techniques to create a series of layered prints. Finally, choose a print from the series of experiments to decorate with a frame using coloured card and mixed media. 
 
Participants will go home with a beautiful picture framed with coloured card, and a series of prints that map the creative process developing towards the final work.
