Lead Local: Generations @ Work + Leading Effective Teams

There can now be up to five generations working alongside one another. But understanding your team requires more than learning a list of differences between Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials and Gen Z.

This combined workshop starts with Generations @ Work, exploring how formative experiences, career stage and life stage can influence expectations around communication, leadership, flexibility, development, recognition and work itself.

We’ll challenge some of the stereotypes surrounding different generations and look instead at what leaders can genuinely use to better understand the people they employ.

From there, Kylie takes that understanding into Leading Effective Teams — exploring trust, clarity, communication, boundaries and accountability, and the shift leaders need to make from doing the work themselves to creating the conditions that allow others to do it well.
