Event description

This interactive workshop will equip you with practical tools to become a more effective climate advocate, whether for personal growth or to strengthen your organisation's position in the market. We’ll explore case studies and move through action-focused advocacy frameworks, all while incorporating the principles of psychological safety. You’ll leave with clear first steps to take to publicly communicate about climate in a way that’s authentic and impactful.

Key Takeaways:

  • Learn how psychological safety fosters open communication, allowing you to turn climate anxiety into a powerful catalyst for change.
  • Discover how to lead inclusive, action-driven climate communications that reflect your personal story or your organisation’s values.
  • Participate in interactive exercises to reflect on your experiences and experiment with new strategies.
  • Receive practical tools and resources to support your continued growth as someone that is fluent in communicating about organisational climate strategy.

Why Address Climate Anxiety?
Ignoring climate anxiety can undermine advocacy efforts. By creating an environment where people feel safe to share their concerns, you encourage honest conversations and more effective action. This workshop will focus on helping you develop action steps for meaningful climate communication, turning climate anxiety into a driver for engagement.

Interactive Case Studies:
Explore examples from across Australia and Scandinavia, showing how organisations have successfully built psychological safety—and the consequences of neglecting it as well as organisations that have run successful climate communications strategies to build brand equity in the market. You’ll also learn how to evaluate your current practices and identify areas for improvement.

Ongoing Support:
We’ll provide a curated list of resources to help you continue developing your leadership in climate advocacy beyond the workshop.
