LiiFT outline:
LiiFT Learning Capability Area: Leadership & Decision-Making
LiiFT Learning Stage: Strengthen | Sustain & Scale
Overview:
Strong organisations rarely succeed in isolation. Whether working with staff, volunteers, Boards, community partners, funders or other organisations, effective collaboration is essential for achieving lasting impact.
Collaboration doesn't happen by default — it's something a leader actively shapes. That's harder when people are stretched, decisions are moving fast, and an organisation needs a way forward.
This session looks at what leaders can actually do to make collaboration hold up under those conditions: creating space for honest contribution, working through disagreement without it turning into conflict, and keeping people aligned to purpose and community outcomes.
Outcomes include:
A clearer picture of what healthy collaboration looks like in practice
Ways to notice collaboration breaking down early, before it becomes conflict
One or two things you can shift straight away in how you lead through change
Whether you lead a team, manage volunteers or work alongside other organisations, this session will provide practical insights to help strengthen collaboration and create greater collective impact.
Who should attend?
CEOs, managers, team leaders, Board Chairs, project coordinators, volunteer managers, community development practitioners and anyone responsible for leading people or partnerships.
Key takeaway:
Leave with practical ideas and greater confidence to foster healthy collaboration, strengthen relationships and help your organisation achieve more by working effectively with others.
Previous participant feedback includes:
"Hearing others share their experiences made the discussions relatable and provided valuable new perspectives"
"The engaging presentation style and practical information made the session both enjoyable and easy to apply"
