Lisa has built an incredible career in business and leadership. After joining Icebreaker at just 19, she spent 16 years with the company as it grew into a global New Zealand brand, working across different areas of the business and spending four and a half years in Portland, Oregon as General Manager.

After returning to New Zealand, Lisa joined New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, helping Kiwi businesses with their international growth, before joining her long time friend and former Icebreaker colleague Amanda Dorset at Wilson & Dorset in 2022.

Today, as CEO of Wilson & Dorset, Lisa is helping lead an ambitious Wānaka based business with a big vision. One that puts people, purpose, community and our incredible New Zealand wool story at its heart.

Throughout the evening, Lisa will share her journey and the lessons she has learnt along the way, from finding her feet as a young woman in business to developing her own leadership style and leading teams through growth and change.

We’ll talk about leadership, culture, confidence, ambition and the importance of building a business with strong values and a clear sense of purpose.

Lisa will also take us behind the Wilson & Dorset story, their vision for championing a sheepskin revolution and what it looks like to grow a purpose led New Zealand brand from right here in Wānaka.
