Join us for our next Business Women Collective event at the beautiful Wilson & Dorset Wānaka showroom for an evening with Lisa Thompson, CEO of Wilson & Dorset.

This will be a relaxed, interview style evening where we’ll sit down with Lisa and get into the real stuff that comes with business, leadership and growth. The decisions, the challenges, the lessons learnt along the way and what it actually looks like to lead people and grow a business while staying true to what matters to you.

Lisa has built an incredible career in business and leadership. She spent 16 years with Icebreaker, including four and a half years in Portland, Oregon as General Manager, before returning to New Zealand and working with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, helping Kiwi businesses with their international growth.

In 2022, Lisa joined her longtime friend and former Icebreaker colleague Amanda Dorset at Wilson & Dorset, where she is now CEO.

Throughout the evening we’ll chat about Lisa’s own journey, from finding her feet as a young woman in business to developing her leadership style, building confidence and leading teams through growth and change.

We’ll talk about leadership, culture, ambition, values and purpose, as well as going behind the scenes of Wilson & Dorset and hearing more about the vision for the business, their growth into Australia and their work with MINT Charitable Trust.

There will also be plenty of opportunity to ask Lisa your own questions, so if there’s something you’ve always wanted to ask someone who has spent years leading and growing businesses, this is your chance.

And this definitely isn’t a sit in rows and listen to a presentation kind of evening. We’ll be getting cosy in the Wilson & Dorset showroom amongst their gorgeous sheepskins, rugs and beanbags, with a glass of Maude bubbles in hand. 🥂

You definitely don’t need to own a business to come along either. If you’re growing your career, leading a team, building something of your own, wondering what your next move might be or simply love hearing how other women have navigated their way through business, this evening is for you.
