Leadership Workshop Series: High Performance
Description
Sarah Abrahams of Grace & Grit Consulting and Katharine Bourke of South West Growth Service are delighted to be collaborating to launch a new leadership workshop series, designed for business owners, entrepreneurs, leaders and professionals working across Devon.
Delivered together, this first session, “Emotions and High Performance: Why Emotions Matter in Business Today”, explores one of the most overlooked drivers of leadership effectiveness, team performance and business success.
High performance is not just driven by skills, processes, and goals; it is significantly influenced by emotions. In a rapidly changing world, leaders are expected to navigate uncertainty, manage relationships, make difficult decisions and inspire others, often while managing significant demands themselves. Understanding emotions, both our own and those of others, is increasingly recognised as a critical leadership skill.
This interactive session explores how emotions affect energy, decision-making, collaboration, resilience and overall performance. Drawing on concepts such as emotional intelligence, emotional energy, and emotions as information, you will gain insight into how transforming emotions from a hidden factor can become an individual and team performance advantage.
