Description

🔥Leading Across Cultures: Build the intercultural leadership skills needed for modern organisations.

Leading across cultures is an essential capability in today’s diverse and globally connected workplaces. For migrant women, it can also involve navigating unfamiliar expectations, unspoken workplace norms, communication differences and assumptions about what leadership should look or sound like.

This empowering and practical Masterclass will help participants strengthen their intercultural leadership capability without feeling they need to minimise their identity or “fit in”. Participants will explore how culture can influence communication, confidence, authority, feedback and decision-making, while recognising the adaptability, perspective and resilience they already bring.

Through relatable workplace scenarios, guided reflection and an easy-to-use intercultural leadership framework, participants will learn how to pause before making assumptions, respond confidently to cultural differences and adapt their approach without losing authenticity.
Participants will leave with greater clarity, practical language and a personal action they can use to lead across cultures with confidence, curiosity and ease.

In this masterclass, we will learn:

  • Recognise culture beneath the surface: Identify how values, communication styles and unspoken workplace expectations can influence behaviour and relationships.

  • Distinguish difference from deficiency: Reframe cultural differences as potential sources of insight and leadership value, rather than evidence that someone does not belong.

  • Interrupt assumptions: Use a simple pause-and-check technique to separate what they observed from the meaning they assigned to it.

  • Adapt without losing authenticity: Make intentional adjustments to communication and leadership style while remaining grounded in personal identity, values and strengths.

  • Navigate moments of cultural uncertainty: Use respectful, confidence-building language to clarify expectations, seek context and address misunderstandings.

  • Activate an intercultural leadership strength: Identify one strength developed through migration or cross-cultural experience and apply it to a current leadership challenge.
