Description

This specialist course is available for teachers, coordinators and school leaders who have either completed the Growing Up Greatness Gifted & Talented course or who have an expert-level understanding of gifted and talented education.

This course is designed to take your knowledge further with a focus on reviewing and implementing school-wide provision for gifted and talented students, and building your school's profile as an effective provider of education for gifted and talented students.

This course will be a combination of theory and practical planning, covering the following topics:

  • What does whole-school provision for gifted and talented students look like?

  • How to make an impact in gifted and talented education at a whole-school level?

  • Identifying barriers and exploring solutions to these

  • Reviewing policy to support practice

  • Roles and responsibilities throughout the school

  • Communication and marketing for a clear, consistent and accurate message

  • Who is presenting?

    Kylie Bice is an experienced Education Consultant and educator and believes that every student has the capacity to learn.

    She specialises in equipping schools to practice innovative, strategic, transparent, evidence-based teaching at all levels so that teachers, and in turn, students, can thrive.

    Kylie works with schools to create optimal learning environments for all students. Her areas of expertise include:

    • Mentoring school leaders to manage change in schools in order to strategically plan for the needs of diverse students. 

    • Strategic and practical planning for inclusion, differentiation in the classroom, assessment, and teaching and support 

    • Strategies for all learners (including gifted, disabilities, learning difficulties and behaviour).
