Leading Through Story Webinar
Storytelling is an art form that has been practiced since humans first walked the earth - to foster bonds, teach and survive. In the 21st century, story is also a key ingredient for leading change in a complex world, to engage communities, collectively sensemake and communicate impact. In this session, Digital storytellers will explore the ways in which the power of storytelling can be utilised to create impact in the world - whether that be by embedding story-driven processes into the way that we lead in our communities and organisations, or through the stories that we share.
This presentation will cover:
- Why storytelling?
- The neuroscience behind the power of story
- An introduction to leading through story:
- An overview of story-listening, weaving and telling for engagement, connection, problem-solving and developing strategy.
- How you can tell stories for Impact
- An overview of the Story Canvas - a tool for planning and ideating strategic stories that engage audiences and communities to action
Digital Storytellers is a purpose-driven storytelling agency with decades of collective experience working with communities and organisations to craft a narrative for a better world. Through film production, bespoke storytelling workshops, and animation - we help people learn the skills they need to change the world through story. We are a Certified B Corporation and also a Social Traders Certified social enterprise.
