Who:

Leaders can include business owners, worksite supervisors, health and safety practitioners, mentors, or leaders within an organisation who have an influence on other individuals or teams.

Content:

Our most advance of the Leading Wellbeing and Buddies series delving into de-escalation techniques, safety planning ongoing risk monitoring and much more.

Suitable for those who have completed levels 1 & 2.

Advanced workshop covering:

  • De-escalation techniques
  • Safety planning
  • Ongoing risk monitoring
  • Effective communication
  • Building confidence in managing individuals at risk of suicide
  • Building Resilience Team
  • Training for champions to deliver a series of Toolboxes 

4 hour workshop.

Resource book and pocket guide provided for each attendee.

Dr. Andy Walmsley

Andy is a Clinical Psychologist, Building Wellness Workshop facilitator, and Suicide Prevention researcher, passionate about supporting mental health with a focus on men’s mental health and suicide prevention in the construction sector. His journey in research has been nothing short of remarkable, directly contributing to the first research exploring risk factors and men’s help-seeking barriers in the NZ construction industry. He’s a former tennis coach, a keen surfer, and offers tools to support our crew’s mental health through the Building Wellness Buddy and Leading Wellbeing workshops.
