Leading with Empathy

Leading with Empathy is a live, online 60-min workshop designed to help you explore how empathy and active listening skills can help create more supportive, open and compassionate workplace relationships across the music industry. In this upcoming session, participants will engage in interactive activities designed to understand and cultivate empathy, and promote more mindful and open communication skills in the workplace and beyond.

This workshop is designed for team leaders, managers and those who wish to become more compassionate and effective communicators. Through the session, you will learn how to:

• Understand your individual/workplace curiosity style, and why curiosity is an important component of empathy
• Reflect on past instances where you have engaged empathetically with someone who is different from you
• Recognise unique internal and external experiences when engaged in active listening 
• Identify empathic statements and utilise them in the support of someone in need

Empathy is an important feature of all our relationships and a key motivator for helping those in distress. By the end of the workshop, you will leave with some practical tools that can help you lead with empathy and support strong, resilient teams.
