LEAF Season Kickoff and Family Night!
Event description
Join us for the start of the 2025 LEAF Youth Program!
LEAF (Learning for the Environment, Agriculture and Food) is Common Good City Farm's youth program for elementary and middle school age students. Programs are held 4 days each week and the program is drop in, new students are welcome to join at anytime with a registration form required on the first visit each year.
LEAF Youth Classes are on Sundays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:00, and LEAF Youth Garden Hours are on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:00 and Wednesdays from 3:30-6:30.
During the program we work on planning and caring for the youth garden spaces, creating art projects, learning about food and farming and cooking a recipe together (on Sun and Thurs)
Join us for the first Sunday of the 2025 season, for an open house style class. We'll be sharing information about the program, trying some recipes and getting a tour of what the farm looks like at the end of winter. Feel free to join us for the full program time, or drop by just for part of the time to find out about the program.
We hope you can join in the fun and are excited to have your child take part in the youth program this year! For this event, we'd love parents to come in and get all the most current information, but for the regular program days, you can drop your child off and do not have to stay (although you are always welcome).
