Cox Creek Restoration Project – Community Presentation
Event description
Come along and hear how the Cox Creek Bridgewater Restoration Project is bringing new life to our local waterways!
Thanks to a $1.97 million Urban Rivers and Catchments Program Grant, Adelaide Hills Council and local partners are working together to restore 6km of Cox Creek — from Mount George Conservation Park all the way to Engelbrook Reserve.
The project includes removing invasive weeds like Willows, Ash, Gorse and Blackberry, planting thousands of native species such as Blackwood, Wirilda Wattle and Gahnia, and stabilising the creek banks to protect against erosion.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about what’s been achieved so far, meet the people involved, and see how this community-driven project is helping Cox Creek thrive again.
Join us for a relaxed afternoon presentation at The Pavilion – grab a drink, have a chat, and find out what’s happening right in your backyard!
Everyone is welcome – and it’s free to attend!
