For parents looking to mix up the school day, or for anyone interested in learning more about urban farming. Content suitable for school-age children from years 3 to 10, but all ages welcome including adults.


Hosted by expert educators, your kids will become urban farmers, discovering where our food comes from and how it gets to our table. 

Take an in-depth look at our food systems and how it impacts our environment. Come explore ancient, current and future farming practices with us, including what makes healthy soil.

During this interactive virtual learning session you will: 

  • learn how we, as a community can feed a growing population whilst keeping carbon emission down
  • discover what role city dwellers play in supporting farmers, and
  • explore the impacts of current agricultural practices


What you'll receive

  • You will be sent a unique URL prior to the session via email.
  • A guide for parents, including instructions for optional activities to do before and after your webinar

What you need for the session

  • Tablet or mobile device - download the free Zoom app 
  • PC, laptop or smartboard - allow the Zoom extension file download request
  • Pen and paper 

Important notes: 

  • The session will open 10 minutes before the scheduled start
  • We use Zoom Video Conferencing to deliver virtual learning sessions
  • Q & A will be left open for parents to communicate with CERES educators during the webinar
  • Bookings close on the day at 10am. Late bookings won't be accepted
