For parents looking to mix up the school day, or for anyone interested in learning more about ways we can together, move towards zero waste. Content suitable for school-age children from years 3 to 10, but all ages welcome including adults.
Hosted by expert educators, you will investigate the use and management of natural resources and waste, and the different views on how to do this sustainably.
During this interactive virtual learning session you will:
- learn how to transform waste into valuable resources,
- be introduced to the concept of "take, make, dispose" (linear economy),
- use tools like the 5Rs
- explore ways we can transition to a circular economy
What you'll receive
- You will be sent a unique URL a week prior to the session
- A guide for parents, including instructions for optional activities to do before and after your webinar
What you need for the session
- Tablet or mobile device - download the free Zoom app
- PC, laptop or smartboard - allow the Zoom extension file download request
- Pen and paper
Important notes:
- The session will open 10 minutes before the scheduled start
- We use Zoom Video Conferencing to deliver virtual learning sessions
- Q & A will be left open for parents to communicate with CERES educators during the webinar
