Sashiko is a traditional Japanese stitching technique used to reinforce, mend or beautify cloth items.
Learn this Japanese stitching technique that is used to reinforce, mend or beautify clothing and other fabric items.
You can complete a sample patch or bring something from home to repair while learning about some of its history with Donna of StitchPaintBurn.
It is particularly decorative, and can be used in all sorts of creative ways.
All materials are provided. Feel free to bring any woven fabric garments which might need mending, or that you’d like to decorate. No prior sewing skills required.

Where: This event will be held in beautiful Aldinga Beach at the Curiosity Cafe, home of Fresh Ginger Creative, situated between the scrub and the beach. This event is part of an ongoing series of creative workshops.
Date: Saturday 19 June 2021
Time: 9.30am to 12.30pm - including morning tea and refreshments. Feel free to stay afterwards for soup or get something yummy at Pearl.
