“Learn the Basics” : a digital photography workshop series

Get engaged in a creative pursuit with this hands-on digital photography workshop series in Beechworth.
Explore and understand the basics of Digital photography.
Join us and learn:
- how to confidently operate and take photos with DLSR camera or smartphone.
- photography terms and basics like exposure, shutter speed, depth of field and composition.
- basics of file formats for final output and different printing options.
Topics also covered during the series:
- black & white and colour photography.
- capturing nature/landscapes and the built environment.
- photographing people and products.
About the Series:
What: 4 sessions of digital photography training.
When: fortnightly on Wednesdays 5 to 7 pm, from July 31st.
Who: young people aged 14-24 living, studying or working in Indigo Shire.
Where: at the Old Stone Hall, 7 Church St, Beechworth.
Cost: $60 for 4 sessions.
This program has been subsidised by Indigo Shire Council through their Freeza program, funded by the Victorian State Government.
Participants’ must have:
- Access to a smartphone or DLSR camera.
- Availability and commitment to attend all sessions (31 Jul, 14 Aug, 28 Aug, 11 Sept)
Program inclusions:
- Light dinner.
- A notebook and pen per participant.
- One in-house DLSR camera for students to share during training.
- Safe and inclusive, supervised space.
- Drug, alcohol, smoke and vape free sessions.
Registrations essential. Only 10 places available, first in, first served.
