Learn to Crochet a Poppy Workshop | Saturday 12th April| Beachfront Bar & Restaurant | Bucasia Esplanade 

Join us for a morning of crochet and connection as we learn to crochet a Poppy flower for Anzac Day 2025, with Tracey Robb Arts. Whether you're new to the craft or have crocheted before, you're all welcome! All materials supplied. You're invited to donate the items you create towards the 2025 Bucasia Esplanade Anzac Day Commemorative Public Art Installation.  

Cost: $5.00 per person or a Family Pass (4 pax) for $10.00

This community event is subsidized by the Northern Beaches Community Network & Mackay Northern Beaches Lions Club via a Mackay Regional Council Community Impact Grant. 

Location: Beachfront Bar & Restaurant, Bucasia Esplanade. Please remember to support the Cafe during the workshop as they provide this venue in kind for our workshops. They make delicious coffee, breakfast, milkshakes and sweet treats!

Time: 8:30am - 11:00am

Please bring: Yourself!!! We will supply crochet hooks, scissors and yarn, however, you're welcome to bring your own equipment if you like.

Participants: This event is suitable for children aged approximately 8 years, through to teens and adults. Children under the age of 15 must be supervised by their adult - no drop offs. Teens from 15 years are welcome to attend solo or with their friendship circle. This workshop will cater for complete beginners through to people who have crocheted before. All welcome.

Other information: If you're new to crochet we will also be able to teach you how to make a granny square. Items created during this workshop can be donated to the upcoming Anzac Day service where a commemorative public art installation of poppies will be on display at Bucasia Esplanade. Alternatively, you're welcome to keep your items.
