Learn to Crochet and Yarn Bomb! A project of Ballarat North Neighbourhood House supported by the City of Ballarat

The City of Ballarat and Ballarat North Neighbourhood House are thrilled to announce a collaborative Yarn Bombing project in June 2025 to celebrate Pride Month. As part of this exciting initiative, we are offering a special course in the first term of 2025 for anyone interested in learning to crochet or simply contributing to the creation of woollen squares for the Pride month project.

Course Details:

• Dates: Wednesdays from 12th February to 3rd April
• Time: 1pm - 3pm
• Where: Ballarat Central. Address to be provided to participants.
• Cost: Free

During this course, you will have the opportunity to:

• Learn to Crochet: Our friendly instructors will guide you through the basics of crochet, making it easy and fun for everyone.
• Create Yarn Bombing Materials: Work together with fellow participants to craft beautiful woollen squares that will be used to blanket the trees in Ballarat, adding a vibrant touch to our community celebration.
• Knit if You Prefer: If you wish to contribute but are an experienced knitter, you are welcome to join!

This is a fantastic opportunity to get creative, learn new skills, and be part of a heartwarming project that brings our community together in celebration of Pride Month.
