Learn to Make Spring Seed Bombs with Robyn

Event description

Spring is in the air! There's a warm tinge to the mornings and blossoms are not far off! It's time to start thinking about our gardens, so let's get ready with seed bombs!

"Seed bombs" are simple to make, and allow seeds to enter their environment with a warm and safe encasing around them. They're great for scattering in hard to reach places, or to help seeds get established with some protection from birds.

In this class we'll reuse paper with a little bit of soil and some seeds collected from last season and create small parcels that once planted will emerge into colour, fragrance or herbs!

If you are a guerilla gardener, a gift giver with a sustainable nature or you're just a little curious, this is the class for you. Make as many seed bombs as you like during class time.

What will we cover?

In this class you will learn:

  • A brief history of seed bombs and their different materials
  • How to pulp paper
  • Preparing your seed/soil/paper mix
  • Which seeds work best and why
  • Drying time
  • Cute additional decorations
