Learn to Surf at Maroubra for kids - 2 session times
Event description
This popular activity offers kids a fun, safe introduction to the world of surfing!Â
Professional instructors will guide children through the basics of waves and beach safety, while helping them master riding waves standing on a surfboard. Adults are welcome to join the session but should note that lessons are designed with kids’ learning in mind. Wetsuits and surfboards are provided for all participants
Meet at Let’s Go Surfing Maroubra Surf School, 7 Marine Parade, Maroubra.
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to the lesson start time for registration and wetsuit fittings. Wear swimmers and sunscreen and bring a towel. Surfboards are provided.Â
Conditions of booking
- Minimum age 8 years
- Children must be able to swim a minimum of 100 metres
- Children under 16 years must have a parent or adult guardian in attendance during the lesson
- Refunds provided up to 48hrs prior to the event start time.
Photographs, videos and voice recordings
Randwick City Council staff may on occasion take recordings of participants during activities (including photographs, videos and voice recordings) that could be used for the following purposes:
- educational or community information purpose
- Council displays and promotions of community education events
- to complement the promotion of Randwick's Marine and Coastal Program.
If you DO NOT wish for the participant’s recording to be used according to these conditions, please indicate this during the booking process.
Cancellation conditions
This activity may be cancelled due to insufficient bookings or poor weather. Participants will be advised in the event the activity changes or cancellation occurs. All care has been made in the preparation of the January 2025 Marine and Coastal Discovery Program, but some changes may occur due to circumstances beyond the control of Randwick City Council. Refunds will be provided for paid activities up to 48 hours prior to the activity start and in the event of cancellation by Randwick City Council.
