What to expect

Three in four young people say climate change is affecting their wellbeing, safety or daily life.

How can we ensure that our teaching about climate change and environmental damage leaves our students feeling empowered? How can we take care of ourselves while we teach about these challenging topics?

This Learning Circle will be facilitated by pioneering Australian ecopsychologist Dr Eshana Bragg whose work is based upon decades of facilitation of Deep Ecology and the Work That Reconnects, and is informed by collaboration with young adults and Aboriginal educators.

Eshana will:

  • Provide an overview of the Stay Awake! Connect! and Act! framework from The Joyality Project.

  • Introduce a new set of educators resources called A Climate of Change, freely available from the AdaptNSW website.

  • Screen a short student led video from the resources

  • Facilitate an interactive activity to add to your toolkit

  • Talk about the process of collaboration and how the resources were developed
