Learning to do MEL well
Description
What can Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) do for climate change adaptation, if done well?
In the final Learning Exchange of the 2026 Adaptation Planning Cycle series, the Climate Change Exchange opens up the black box of MEL and explores its possibilities and limits for adaptation practice, on Wednesday 25 November, between 10 am - 11:30 am AEDT, online.
Bringing together perspectives from local government, research and evaluation practice, this interactive webinar will explore the lessons, challenges and hidden gems of MEL in adaptation. We’ll look at what gets in the way of doing MEL, what makes it useful and how approaches can better account for uncertainty, complexity, justice and lived experience.
MEL, if done well, can make progress visible, make learning and improvement tangible and help us understand whether we are getting better outcomes as we adapt.
Come ready to share your own MEL questions and stories, and leave with insights for doing MEL well.
We look forward to learning and exchanging ideas with you.
