Event description

Learning to face, not fight, your emotions

Have you ever noticed that you are often fighting your emotions? Have you noticed that you do anything to avoid feeling certain emotions or judge yourself for feeling them? Have you noticed that you miss out on important things because you feel controlled by strong emotions?

In this new group run by Psychology & Wellness, we will be exploring the purpose and function of our emotions and why our attempts to fight and control them can leave us feeling worse. We will be learning some practical skills to respond to our emotions so we can face them and respond to them in more helpful ways.

This group will be run in person and will be broken down into three parts across three weeks. We encourage you to attend all sessions so that you can get the most benefit from the group.

Date: Session 1 (Tuesday 28th of March), Session 2 (Tuesday 4th of April), Session 3 (Tuesday 11th of April).

Time: 11am to 12.30pm (check-in from 10:45am)

Location: Room 2008 (at UNSW Psychology and Wellness clinic group room)

Booking one ticket will enrol you for all 3 weeks of content.

We look forward to seeing you there!
